Dear all, sutrašnje predavanje+seminar o C. Churchill odlažemo za sledeću nedelju. Vidimo se sledeće nedelje u redovnom terminu, ako neko nije uspeo da pronađe dramu, nek se javi. Sutra neće biti ni konsultacija, ako je nešto potrebno, pišite.

EK1: PODSETNIK ZA PRVU GODINU, GRUPE C I D

Kao što smo se dogovorili na času prošle nedelje, u petak nemate časove vežbi, jer ja nisam tu. Umesto toga, rasporedite se, pa dođite na vežbe zajedno sa grupama A ili B (nemojte svi da dođete u istu grupu, pls) - oni imaju časove četvrtkom, pogledajte na rasporedu koji od ta dva termina vam više odgovara, pa dođite s njima. Sledeće nedelje nastavljamo s časovima u uobičajenim terminima, svako u svojoj grupi.

Za one koji su možda zaboravili - treba da pročitate odlomke iz speva Sir Gawain and the Green Knight i baladu 'The Wife of Usher's Well'.

CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOP

Hello All,

My name is Milana Meytes and I am the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at the University of Novi Sad. I grew up in New York City and attained my Bachelors at Wheaton College, MA in English and Masters in Interdisciplinary Humanities at New York University. Subsequently, I taught composition and creative writing in NYC public and private schools. 

I will be running weekly creative writing workshops throughout the semester and invite any and all to join. These workshops will help you develop a personal project and/or provide an outlet for written creative expression in the English language that will help you express yourself and your ideas apart from academic writing. You will be able to work on one prolonged project in any genre (fiction, nonfiction, fantasy, poetry etc.), get personal feedback from me and your peers as well as participate in creative writing games and prompts. Don’t worry if you have no idea what you want to write about or have never done creative writing! 

We will culminate the workshop with a reading and performance. I will also discuss English language publishing opportunities.

CONVERSATION CLUB

Hello All,

My name is Milana Meytes and I am the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at the University of Novi Sad. I grew up in New York City and attained my Bachelors at Wheaton College, MA in English and Masters in Interdisciplinary Humanities at New York University. Subsequently, I taught composition and creative writing in NYC public and private schools. 

I will be running a weekly conversation club  throughout the semester. In this club you will be able to practice your English language speaking skills in a casual setting that is separate from academic reading and writing to improve your vocabulary, natural tone/register and overall conversational English. We will choose new topics every single week and I look forward to meeting all of you!

EK3, OBAVEŠTENJE O RASPOREDU ZA PRVU NEDELJU NASTAVE

Dear all,

Prvo predavanje imate po rasporedu, u utorak, 8. oktobra. Čućete nešto uopšteno o viktorijanskom dobu i nešto konkretno o Čarlsu Dikensu.

Vežbe nemamo ove nedelje, ali treba da dođete na njih, jer ćete tu saznati sve što treba da znate o samom kursu, načinu polaganja ispita, lektiri, literaturi... you know the drill.

Na uvodni čas vežbi dolazite po sledećem rasporedu:

Grupe A i B zajedno, u terminu grupe B, u ponedeljak, 7. oktobra, u 13.30, u učionicu 222.
Grupe C i D zajedno, u terminu grupe C, u utorak, 8. oktobra, u 13.30, u učionicu 107 (tj, ostajete gde ste bili na predavanju).

Posle tih uvodnih časova, okačiću vam na blog detaljan plan rada, raspored, lektiru, literaturu i sve ostalo.
